Spotted: Celebrities in Camilla & Marc!

Camilla & Marc, one of our many contemporary designers, is really making an impact within the celebrity world! The Australian-born brand has been seen on many Hollywood A-listers. This week "It" girls Fergie, Jessica Lowndes, Ashley Tisdale, and Rachel Bilson have all been spotted wearing the girly-chic yet edgy brand.

Rachel, wearing her recently purchased "Equinox" frock, turns the evening dress into a light day frock by pairing it with an army parka & trendy nude platforms. "90210" star Jessica Lowndes looking uber sexy as she rocks the "Courtesy" cocktail dress while out on the town. The Canadian actress keeps the look sweet with her simple & fresh make-up, unfussy hair, and classic accessories.

Ashley Tisdale looks sophisticated yet modern in her Camilla & Marc LBD that she wore to a recent DVD signing in NYC. Fergie is known for her funky style, and this latest outfit doesn't disappoint! Ever the jet-setter, the Black Eyed Peas singer was spotted travelling from LAX to NYC to support their new album in the "Phase" jacket and "Tyrell" pant. The outfit is a cool twist to the standard airport attire.

"Gossip Girl" Designer Feature!

The Globe Interns: West Coast Edition!

We all know it takes a lot of work to run a fashion company of any kind, especially a showroom! Our sister showroom The Globe West, located in Los Angeles, helps to manage our collections and spread The Globe brand around the western part of the United States. Assisting Karen Spaulding and Tracey Burton in LA are their 4 interns: Casey, Bella, Olivia, and Janelle. All of the girls get along really well inside and out the showroom.

Casey Griffin (pictured above with our Audgen knitwear collection), a 19 year old from Santa Barbara, has been interning at The Globe West for a little over a month. Despite the fact that she just started her internship, Casey is enjoying every minute of it! Studying Merchandising and Marketing at FIDM, Casey felt working in a showroom would give her the best inside look to how the industry is run.

The Globe West interns share the same responsibilities as The Globe East interns, respectively. Some of Casey's daily tasks include: filing, organizing collections, running errands, merchandising, and sharing her thoughts on the various collections within the showroom. But all their hard work does come with great payoffs! Recently the interns got the chance to help out at Lucky Magazine's shop event at the Nicholas K booth, where the girls mingled and promoted collections to buyers! Casey's favorite part of working in wholesale is learning how to work with buyers, as well as seeing the behind the scenes aspect of the industry. Her goal is to become a buyer in the contemporary field (her favorite designers being Sam & Lavi, Heartloom, Indah, & Stone Cold Fox), so this internship is a perfect match!

The main lesson Casey has learned is to "be ready for whatever is thrown at you, and always come with an open mind." Overall, Casey is truly enjoying her internship at The Globe West. She is able to transfer her college studies with what she is learning from the showroom, as well as having a foot in the industry at a young age. With its laid-back lifestyle and cool designer collections, the Globe West is a great showroom to learn and explore the fashion industry!

Who Wore It Best? The Kardashian Edition!

Two sisters of the famous Kardashian clan have been spotted wearing the same Camilla & Marc dress! Kylie, second to the left, wore the pink frock to last week's Kid's Choice Awards while older sister Khloe wore the frock while running errands in LA. Kylie's look is girly and fresh, leaving her shoulders bare & pairing the dress with cute bow tie sandals. Khloe's outfit is more business appropriate, wearing the pink dress with a matching blazer and platform rose-colored heels.

Fun Friday Evening at The Globe!

The Globe & Omarche sales reps Lisa, Lizanne, Korie, & Mary-Jo play dress up in Erin Kleinberg's down feather winter parkas, disregarding the rising NYC temperatures. Don't they look adorable? Just another evening at the showroom!
